God of All (The Immortal)

Here’s a new song I finished today called “God of All (The Immortal).” I wrote this trying to capture somewhat the attribute of God’s independence. Even in redemption, what seems like a great gift to man (and it is) God’s glory is front and center and the main point. You can sing this song (except for the chorus) to the tune of “Before the Throne of God Above.”

God of All (The Immortal) by N. Adam Johnson 5/7/2012

V1:
O God of all, the great I AM,
The One who fashioned earth and heav’n,
He set His glory in the skies
So man might know Him and give praise.
O how majestic is Your name
Your pow’r, Your glory on display
You have no need that man can fill
Yet You made us to need You still
Yet You made us to need You still.

Ch:
The Immortal, Uncreated,
Self-sufficient, God alone;
You are most holy, You are most worthy,
You reign in power from Your throne.

V2:
The God of all, became a man
To conquer death, and hell, and sin
The Sovereign God, He took on flesh
So those who’d trust Him would have rest.
In this redemption Your glory shone
There is forgiveness by grace alone
No condemnation! is the plea
For those in Christ have victory!
For those in Christ have victory!

Chorus
